ISCAF accomplishes 80% ischool-CILC

80% of the total PHS's completed the CILC training conducted by the ISCAF team.

The iSchools' CILC training covering the beneficiaries under ISCAF team started on April 15, 2008 in the eastern part particularly Alicia National High School and Ilagan National High School and targeted to be finished this week in the northern part which includes Aguinaldo National High School and Balangbang National High School.

One of the strategies that were implemented in order to follow the time table was the strict conformity with the schedule. Despite other school activities and schedules, the project coordinator, Engr. Stradivary Caro of ISCAF, managed to attain the 80% completeness of the training.

Project Managers and Coordinators are expecting that after the training there will be an effective and functional result as to commend with the objective of the CILC training.

On the muddy and rocky roads

“We survived, what an experience!” exclaimed Engr. Stradivary Caro, ISCAF-ICT coordinator, with his pair of ears smiling. “It was really a tremendous experience that one sack of rice hull would make you continue your journey.”

It’s not actually blood that comes out of their mouth but the fruit (betel nut) the main product that most of the people in the locality chew as their “mirenda”.

ISCAF initiates CILC training

The Ifugao State College of Agriculture and Forestry (ISCAF) Team of the iSchools Project initated the Computer and Internet Literacy Training (CILC) at Alicia National high School (ANHS), Alicia Isabela on April 14, 2008.
With the ISCAF-ICT coordinator Engr. Stradivary Caro, the training will continue until all benefited public high schools (PHSs) will be given necessary training with the proper use and maintenance of the equipments. All administrators, laboratory ln-charge and other concerns were advised to attend the training.

Online Writing Techniques Training

Participants emphasize graphics and perspective

Participants of the of the online writing techniques training finalizes their own activity during the photojournalism held at WVCST, Iloilo on April 16-16, 2008.

Speakers Ms. Yvonne Chua and Ms. Luz Rimban discussed the following topics, The Online Environment, Newswriting, Headline Writing, Photojournalism, Feature Writing and Opinion Writing. Creating of blogs came last after all the topics had been discussed.

All the participants did well in the said training as seen in their outputs.
